Lapidus Bunion Correction

Front: The bunion was treated with correction and a fusion through the mid foot, a procedure known as a Lapidus bunion correction. This requires non weight bearing on the operative foot for a period of 4-6 weeks followed by another 4-6 weeks in a walking boot before returning to regular shoe wear. The Lapidus procedure works best for the bigger bunion deformities.
